West Ham’s likely starting lineup

Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed three players will be absent this Saturday when West Ham take open Leicester at the London Stadium.

The manager told the press “I think that Manuel Lanzini and Samir Nasri will not be availabe. Also, Javier Hernandez has a problem in his ear so he hasn’t been able to work during these last days.”

He added: “The other players, Jack Wilshere is OK, Carlos Sanchez worked with the squad, but we continue with the other long injuries. Marko is OK. He worked as normal the whole week.

Snodgrass is available as his one-match ban will not start until the outcome of his appeal is known. After a great performance, Arthur Masuaku is likely to get the nod ahead of Aaron Cresswell but maybe Pablo Zabaleta might be swapped out for Ryan Fredericks

With the injuries in mind here the likely West Ham starting lineup for Saturday: Fabianski, Zabaleta, Ogbonna, Balbeuna, Masuaku, Rice, Snodgrass, Noble, Antonio, Anderson and Arnautovic.

  1. Rather see Holland and Xande start. I would give Diop a game too.

  2. Long as they keep cresswell out sell him Asp and get two full backs in summer that can defend as Ben Johnson will eventually become a regular he actually knows how to defend. Masu never going to be a left back but technically very good further forward and still young . Fred a disaster at last game still learning but we need a right back who has already premier experience. Now for mid and strikers which I’m sure pelle and scouts have already sorted out on top of the defense for next season. Remember 400mill spent by liverpool’s klopp and still won fa.

  3. Play Diop in midfield instead of Noble . Reckon it might be genius .
