West Ham’s Managing Director to join Leeds

SportWest Ham’s Managing Director Angus Kinnear is poised to join Leeds United as their new CEO  replacing Ben Mansford the Telegraph has reported today.

Massimo Cellino’s stormy three-year reign at Leeds United is set to end as Andrea Radrizzani prepares to complete a full takeover of Leeds which should see Kinnear installed as CEO.Radrizzani is preparing to buy the remaining 50% stake from Cellino after Leeds’ failure to secure a place in the Championship play-offs.

Arsenal’s former marketing Director joined the West Ham board as Managing Director in January 2014. At Arsenal, he was responsible for domestic and international marketing, the club’s move to the Emirates Stadium and making Arsenal a growing global brand in world football.

At West Ham, he was tasked with a similar role that he filled at Arsenal. He oversaw much of the move to the London Stadium move and was tasked with increasing sponsorship and commercial deals as well as doubling season tickets.

  1. And so once again despite the usual
    Crap, isn’t it the case that we nicked him from Arsenal because his job with them was done and so he joined us because of his experience with the move from Highbury, and since that job has now been done at West Ham and he has been offered a better job, CEO trumps MD last I looked, it makes sense for him to go from both our viewpoint and his?

    I’m sure West Ham will attract a very able MD to replace him. Is it beyond people of a certain ilk to see positives anymore?
