West Ham’s Moyes replacement list growing

|

West Ham have been linked with several new managers over the last 24 hours but the Hammers board still see the ideal scenario as Moyes ending the season and seeing out the last year of his deal at the club.

However, there is now no disputing that the club are compiling a short list of possible replacements with Paulo Fonseca the latest name in the frame.

The Lille manager will go into the last season as Lille’s manager in 1923/24 having led the club into fifth place in Ligue 1 in his first season in charge.

Arne Slot is known to be admired by the West Ham board along with Brendan Rodgers – both of whom feature in new reports today.

And Reims boss Will Still is again being regularly mentioned along with sacked former Chelsea manager Graham Potter although whilst confirming all the others are possible replacements he is not among their options.

Our source commenting on today’s reports declared: “We want a big finish from the manager who has one year left on his contract but as we said earlier this week anything is possible.”
