West Ham United‘s transformation under the stewardship of Tim Steidten has undoubtedly caught the eye of the footballing world. The club’s aggressive recruitment strategy and clear vision for the future have positioned them as a potential model for other clubs seeking to emulate their success.
The comparison to Bayer Leverkusen is apt, as both clubs have demonstrated a willingness to invest in young talent and build a sustainable model for success. Steidten’s experience at Leverkusen has undoubtedly influenced his approach at West Ham, and the early signs are promising.
However, it’s important to remember that building a successful club takes time and patience. While West Ham have made significant strides, the true test of their progress will come in the form of consistent performances and trophies.
West Ham fans were told by pundits like Paul Merson “to be careful what they wish for” well, things are looking pretty good at the moment. But being the next Bayer Leverkusen shouldn’t be the goal, but pushing on to a level the club have never been able to reach before is .
It’s exciting times to be an Iron !
Hopefully we will be a super team. Whether we become a model for other clubs remains to be seen. Remember last summer when Chelsea forked out more than £1200 million, yes, £1.2 billion, on new additions to their first team squad. That didn’t get them too far did it?
Enough said. Finger crossed along with the irons for better times ahead.

Think it’s a bit too early for these bold claims. We’ve achieved nothing yet. Ridiculous to start saying we are the new Leverkusen.
It’s not new at all, especially in the Bundesliga where there isn’t the silly money. Spain do the same.
Our club have been very late to the party due to our moron owner, but we can be thankful he saw sense and we are lucky beyond belief to have Steidten (on huge wages). Good for Tim!
They must have promised him total control very early on and only Moyes screwed that up, quite fortunately really as he put the final nail in his own coffin.
Fingers crossed our fellow fans are patient and see the big picture and ignore all the Moyes fans in the media just praying for JLo to fail.
