In just over ten weeks, West Ham kick off their season in the Carabao Cup first round, with the Championship campaign following on the weekend of 14th – 16th August. That gives the club roughly 70 days to sort out a mountain of unresolved issues.
First, they must finalise the shareholding structure and appoint replacements for Nathan Thompson and Andy Mollett, while also deciding whether Karim Virani becomes Karren Brady’s permanent successor.
Then comes the appointment of a Director of Football, assuming Brady’s parting comments weren’t just for show.
After that, a new manager must be hired, along with any additional back‑room staff, because everyone knows Nuno is gone. Whoever comes in will inherit a squad full of unsettled players wanting out, plus a pile of returning loanees needing decisions. And with the club’s debt growing, player sales are unavoidable.

It is important to temper our expectations, even the team including Brooking, Devonshire, Bonds, Lampard and Cross etc took three years to get promoted, although they did win the FA cup and got to the quarter finals of the ECWC during their time in the second tier 😊⚒️⚒️
