Of course it’s fantastic keeping Payet, PROVIDED he’s focused on doing the business for us. Frankly that doesn’t seem to have been a priority lately. He skived off the last match last year, when we could have done with a win to finish sixth. Apparently he had some mysterious injury but it didn’t stop him turning up and banging goals in for France 5 minutes later. Same this season, he’s barely kicked a ball in anger for us, either too tired from his Euro exertions, not fit after taking a whole couple of weeks off after the Euros, or injured again, depending on what you read … nothing stopping him from turning up in camp with France again though.
Seems a worry to me from the Hammers point of view, hope to be proven wrong.
