What a night as Bowen gives new deal a thumbs up

By Hughie Southon

Jarrod Bowen hasn’t yet put pen to paper on his new deal but all the info we are receiving from inside the club is that he is as close as it gets.

The news came after the player had a one on one meeting with a key board member earlier this week and went away saying he would give the proposals put to him a lot of thought

That he has now let it be known to those that matter he wants to remain part of the exciting West Ham project is the best news any of us could have heard on this Saturday evening.

The guy has had an amazing start to the season, has been called into the England squad and is demonstrating via the contract piece of news that we all have every right to believe West Ham United is moving into a fantastic new era.

Great players stay with great clubs and we are now getting there – we are on our way to become an elite outfit and Bowen is already an elite player who can lead us with one or two others to precisely where want to be.

What a time to be a Hammer – we maybe about to experience our best days since the 60s glory days.

An amazing, brilliant night with my eyes nearly popping out of my head when the e mail from our top contact appeared in my in box.

Well done to the board and COME ON YOU IRONS
