What Antonio really said to Grealish

Social media was awash with claims of what Michail Antonio said the Jack Grealish during yesterday’s game.

TV cameras appeared to pick the pair having a disagreement on the pitch and it was originally claimed that Antonio replied to a Grealish sarky comment with “Say that to me off the pitch and watch”

Lip readers disagreed with that translation saying the exchange was more like ‘Just lay on the pitch and watch’ in reference to his dive antics.

Jack Grealish was responsible for an ’embarrassing’ dive during West Ham’s two-one over Aston Villa on Monday night.

In the second half the England international won a free-kick after a clash with Pablo Fornals, but the 25-year-old’s delayed reaction caused outrage from fans on social media.

There was tension between the two benches during the game as well, with John Terry and West Ham coach David Billows getting booked for an argument, that it seems was to do with the dive. Kevin Nolan was also involved in a heated argument before being told to sit down by the fourth official.

  1. Hard man, picking on a kid half his size. I bet he wouldn’t have said that to Troy Deeney!!

    • Yeah Blues Legend Troy stays on his feet has respect

    • Doesn’t matter about his size or age. A cheat is a cheat and deserves to be called out. How can any fair minded fan watch his antics and deny that he cheats? When Lanzini dived he got a retrospective ban and I agreed with it. He hasn’t done it since. Perhaps that could be the cure for Jack Jelly Legs. Something has to be done, and soon.

      • Unfortunately diving is coached to kids now & players get plaudits for diving well. Only Lanzini & Niasse got a ban from that rule & both actually got contacted at speed when others including Delph via Rice went down without a touch. Every season they try to crack down on something & then it goes away Avery few months of not working. Grealish is a brilliant player but does dive a lot. We haven’t had a Penalty yet which I think only one other team hasn’t. VAR is bringing more PENs too before think after ganeweek 8 was 78 Pens already compared to 30 something last season.

    • Projecting your cowardice onto others?

    • i mean his not really a kid is he mate, grealish is 25. thats a grown man leaping around

    • Learn to read lol
The article says Antonio didn’t say, say that off the pitch to me
He was having a cheeky joke at Grealish’ expense, because he is a pathetic cheat.
Size, height, age don’t come into it lol
And let’s say Grealish said something really offensive to Antonio are you saying he should say nothing to Grealish because he’s smaller?? He’s not under 16, he knows if you slag someone off there can be repercussions.

Maybe, have a word with yourself, i

  2. He behaves like a kid as well. Fantastic role model. You must be proud.

  3. west ham players as hard as there fans i see lolololololol gealish had all of them in his pocket xx

    • nO WONDER HE KEPT FALLING OVER , WHAT WITH ALL THE wEST hAM PLAYERS IN HIS POCKET, MUST HAVE BEEN A HEAVY WEIGHT TO CARRY

      • Pathetic comment – Mooro had everyone in his pocket but was never booked. How old are you John – 10, 15?

      • yep he will do well at Man utd

      • Grealish played well, he’s a very talented player.
Unfortunately he’s also a pathetic, cheat, who acts like a spoilt little kid.
West Ham fans would not put up with that kind of behaviour week in, week out.
Fans like you are embracing it, as are your coaching staff, but even with a Villa fan ref, Grealish crying and a dive for a pen, you still lost lol
I’ve read some Villa fans speak out about not liking how their team are faking too much and respect to them.
        The rest of you

      • Its called caps lock dipstick.. learn to turn it off

    • If you want to have his kids, you might try learning to spell his name then you muppet

    • Sorry what was the score 🤣🤣🤣👍

    • Yet we won 2-1

    • Lol, it’s Villa that fans are laughing at.
It doesn’t look very hard when players go down screaming lol, or the manager getting upset because someone called his player, who dived holding the wrong leg lol, a cheat.
Bunch of crying wimps, but I think this is why you have done well at all, because clearly this is how you manager thinks the team needs to play to stay up.
And what about Trezeguet, flinging himself to the floor and cutting his head in the process lol. Instant Karma right there

  4. I’m no lip reading expert but that doesn’t seem to be what he’s saying and his body language and smile doesn’t match it either.

  5. West Ham left with the 3 points. So all his cheating and diving didn’t really amount to much. Even a very determined ref couldn’t swing the result Villa’s way.

  6. Grealish = Embarrassing.
Such a shame a player of his talent is such an absolute DIck.

  7. Handbags – if that’s allowed (BBC think not). Nothing personal – all in the game. Do wish that Grealish would wear proper socks and proper shin pads though. Sets a poor example for young players everywhere.
    COYI

  8. Lol at the W.Ham fans, what Antonio said to Grealish would be the least of my concerns, I’d wonder why they got played off their own pitch and only have Ollie Watkins (missed pen) and VAR to thank for 3 points, they were atrocious tbh

    • Good teams win when they play badly. Must sting a bit to have played your best and still couldn’t win lol. Grealish is talented but is embarrassing. No wonder he’s the ‘most fouled’ player. Right up there with Salah in terms of diving imo. Coyi

    • Id be more worried about why you need to be looking at a West Ham site, is it because they play football rather than belly flops. I was a bit concerned when you made subs in case you brought on Tom Daley, he would fit in very well with your lot, thanks for the 3 points anyway

    • That’s a bit rich, Villa only in Prem because bent ref didn’t allow a clear goal. Would have thought Villa loved VAR!

    • ‘Ellie salty
      Amazing result for the irons.
When you look at it, we were against a Villa fan ref and players going down for the slightest touch, breaking up any rhythm
Even with all that, Villa wimpy team still only scored a lucky deflection.
We can play much better, so we know we’ll get more good results, maybe Villa fans should worry lol

  9. As Grealish preens himself in front of the mirror for an hour each morning he must say:

    Mirror, mirror on the wall
Who is the greatest cheat of all
    My silly self or Maradonna
Diego was great, but I’m a PRIMA DONNA!

  10. Grealish is a decent player but sadly a cheating diver who deserves retrospective punishment

  11. Pity us fans were not at the match, he would have got a pretty strong message!!

  12. Simple answer to a the villa fans on here …we played awful and still beat you …grealish could be great but he is more worried how he looks ….superb poser though.. what a tit 🤣🤣🤣👍

  13. Sorry to be off topic – one part of the story I don’t get – who is Dave Billows?

  14. Grealish is on the way to becoming infamous in the same way that Robbie Savage became well known and hated by most football supporters up and down the country……
It shows how dire things must have been during Villa’s lean years away from the top tier in football, for the Villa supporters not to notice that this so-called talented player is just a clown with a silly haircut, wearing short shin pads.
I honestly wouldn’t want a player like him at West Ham. Talented isn’t the first thing that springs to mind when I watch him feigning injury and rolling around if anyone gets too close to him.
