West Ham will have a very good idea of where they stand when they go into action against Wolves on the evening of Saturday June 20.
The reality is of course that three points is the optimum necessity and we shouldn’t be looking at other clubs but of course we do don’t we?
The match kicks off at 5.30 pm around half an hour after fellow relegation candidates Brighton finish their game Against Arsenal at the Amex Stadium.
And it will come after the opening game which will have seen Villa take on Sheffield United, Norwich meet Southampton and Watford host Leicester City.
There are no easy games in there for any of the teams fighting to get away from the bottom but at least the hammers will know precisely where they stand.
Bournemouth follow the Irons into action with the last game involving the bottom clubs when they host Palace at home.
