On Tuesday West Ham Official twitter channel posted this video of a perfect Mark Noble corner being met by Anton Ferdinand in 2007 to score against Manchester United at the Boleyn Ground.
One West Ham fan Dan James replied “Remember when Mark Noble was able to cross a ball?”
Another West Ham fan Tommy said “A rare Noble corner beating the 1st man”
Nick Friend added “A Mark Noble corner beating the 1st man…Wow that is a collectors item now! #COYI”
To be fair Mauro Zarate hasn’t done any better in his corner taking abilities recently. Last Saturday Lanzini took over the role in the second after Zarate went off and he floated in two good corners one of which which he was asked to re-take. With Payet featuring in some part of Saturday’s game against Liverpool our corner taking ability is about to return to a whole different level.

Can’t understand why the club is not spending more time in training on corner taking,
It’s such a vital part in the game,if Noble takes pens so well why not corners,
Same as Antonio why have we not used his long throw which can be more accurate then a corner with Carroll on the front post would be such a great weapon
perfect opportunity for the big men; cant be offside but get it wrong and most of your defenders are wrong end of the pitch.
I watched the Sunderland v Liverpool game last night. In the closing stages Sunderland had a series of corners. Their corner taker unerringly found the first defender. I’ve seen this on many sky games lately. It seems to be an epidemic. Corners are an important part of the game and a good whipped-in, in swinging corner can cause havoc. Seems odd not to spend time getting it right.
