Who can West Ham play in the Europa League?

The Europa League will return next month with the first knockout round.

The Hammers will not be in action in the next round after topping their group.

But those who finished second, and the clubs who have been knocked out of the Champions League due to a third-placed finish in the group stages.

West Ham, as a result, will play the winners of the following ties, and there are some genuinely huge clubs still in the tournament, including Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.

The ties in the Europa League are as follows:

Sevilla v Dinamo Zagreb

Atalanta v Olympiacos

RB Leipzig v Real Sociedad

Barcelona v Napoli

Zenit St Petersburg v Real Betis

Borussia Dortmund v Rangers

Sheriff v Braga

Porto v Lazio

The Round of 16 draw will take place on February 25th, when David Moyes’ side will find out their Europa League destiny.

There remains a very good chance of the Irons going the distance in the competition, but they will have to beat some top European clubs to do it.
