West Ham have today issued an official website “thank you” to every fan inside the London Stadium for the victory over Southampton.
Hopefully, they will remember, should there be another difficult period, that they can trust us to do the right thing without the constant reminders to “be good” and not to remain on the naughty step!

As the players and manager have said, the atmosphere created by you, our loyal and committed supporters, made London Stadium a truly inspiring place to be, with the positivity in the stands clearly translating into a fantastic winning performance on the pitch.
You were our 12th man and, as you have done so often, you rose to the occasion when you were needed most.
We have four more home matches to play and, with your continued backing, we believe we can achieve our target of securing Premier League safety.
Thanks to Trevor Brooking for spending all his time since the Burnley game trying to explain to the idiot protestors that their negative brand of support never helped the team and never will. I hope these negative thinking disruptive minority groups that have given us all a bad name stay away for the rest of the season, so the genuine fans can genuinely support their team.
