Why we aren’t going – the fans react

  • It is more likely the combination of Christmas and the cumulative effect of the cost of living issue is having an impact……..enough of my friends and family are talking about cut backs in household budgets and Christmas presents.
  • 47,000 is still impressive for any team, given that we’ve qualified. Also it’s drinks/party season for a lot of companies, it’s on the box, and you don’t have to worry if your trains are going to running or not.
  • Lots of illness going around at the moment, the poor way we are playing and therefore lack of entertainment as well as people having to pay out for 4 games in 9 days over an expensive Christmas period all take their toll. Its on TV and a lot of people have to prioritise what games they will be going to. Of course it will be great to top the group and avoid the play off games but in essence, we have already qualified out of the group
