Will the Hammers likely to light a Forest fire at the City Ground this weekend and finally turn anĀ awful run of results around. The east midlanders are in the same position as us having failed to win any of their last eight games in the Premier League or Cup. At a different time of the year it could be a relegation battle but thankfully we are in eighth place.
Those who saw Forest in their game against Newcastle may consider themselves to be unfortunate to be beaten 3-2. They were quick and mobile at times and certainly deserved a draw. They were also effective against Arsenal going down 1-2 to our 0-6. In fairness it has to be pointed out they sacked their previous manager Steve Cooper and it hasn’t done them much good with former Wolves and Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo not finding things at all easy since arriving at the City Ground.
They may not be a great team but they create chances from open play and to managed a total of three against Arsenal and Newcastle offer an idea of the sort of threat they carry. Not to be sniffed at.
The Hammers meanwhile really do look like a struggling team with no Lucas Paqueta and won’t find this a straightforward job. Confidence won’t he high after the Arsenal humiliation and we are likely to once again likely to see the familiar faces lining up. A win now is needed as badly as it was during our sad days when struggling against relegation.
Will we light that Forest fire? I have severe doubts given what we have seen of late but have everything crossed, with a draw my more likely thought and a defeat – so sadly – wouldn’t surprise me.
