Wilshere/Carroll slip further backwards

Hopes that either Jack Wilshere or Andy Carroll are in line for aย  return to action have been knocked back.

Earlier predictions that both could be involved this weekend or next have been ruled out by a top club insider.

The Wilshere injury situation has been surrounded by a deafening silence since the player went for surgery with a six week deadline put on his return back in September.

That would have seen him back in action in time for the match against Spurs but ClaretandHugh has now learned that he will not back until after the next international break which starts after our trip to Huddersfieldย  on November 10.

Carroll is in precisely the same situation having not seen a second of action this campaign despite hopes that he would be back after the last round of international games.

We were told that the medics were being particularly careful with both of them given their long injury history and that the home match against against Manchester City was the best guess for any involvement by either of them.

  1. What a pitiful indictment! Only West Ham would employ a ‘legless’ person and pretend they’re a footballer. With any luck, Wilshere, at least, is only on a ‘paid when played’ deal. Either way, get them both off the books asap.

  2. It really is pathetic…the club isn’t helping by keep on putting return date back further every week… Carol is an absolute embarrassment you can tel! He dosnt give a toss ..another season of rubbish again .. Good old West ham way ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. This is such a surprise!!!!!! Not๐Ÿ˜

    • They could always find a new job outside football as a double act ? Wheelchair and bladdered? Comes to mind !!!!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

  4. Although I am not usually on the side of the chairmen, if Wilshere was awarded a 3 year contract against the chairmens wishes you would have to say he was correct to be concerned. We have to hope when he comes back he plays better than at any point previously, as for Carroll he is a game changer, gives us something no other team has even if it is only for 10 games a season, we should just amend his contract pay him Declan Rice money when he isn’t fit and Javier Hernandez money when he is.
