Wilshere for LS – the fans respond

Jack Wilshere is the West Ham story that refuses to die …once again the midfielder is  being linked with a move to the London Stadium from Arsenal.
Here’s how the ClaretandHugh Facebook readers received the latest reports

O Don’t want him
O  No
He can keep AC company in sick bay!

For £7million you’d have to say yes please BUT he would need to be on 50% salary and 50% pay as you play type of contract.

If this lad is kept fit he has more creativity than 99% of our squad! His passing, vision and distribution skills are something we severely lack….for 7m and a big pay cut I would take him in a heartbeat
O Without Lanzini we seriously lack creativity and for a mooted £7m it’s a no brainer for me!!

O Undoubted quality, but unless his style of play has changed i think he’s not going to be a reliable signing. tends to run the ball too far in front of him inviting challenges, and it’s pretty well documented that teams target him early on in games. Doesn’t respond well to heavy tackles.

  1. Wouldn’t be the worse signing we’ve ever made . He undoubtedly has talent . Injuries have plagued him somewhat but at West Ham that’s eggs & Bacon . Our midfield needs help so I would vote yes for him . If he can resserect his career and do well for us , then why not .

  2. The man’s a crock for goodness sake. Don’t we have one of them already, so why on earth do we want another.

  3. He looked very good the other week playing lots of intricate, cutting passes that opened up the defence.Could do a lot worse then sign him come January. Not fair to pile it on Lanzini to carve out the chances for a much better looking attack then last season.

  4. At 7Mil he’s worth a punt, as our midfield currently goes missing for long periods during games, but didn’t he just swear unbinding loyalty and allegiance to all things Arsenal, just recently?? Don’t really expect this to happen, IMHO??
