Wilshere opens up on injury

|

Jack Wilshere came off with an injury on Saturday after a number of heavy challenges by Manchester City’s record signing, Rodri.

Wilshere told the Daily Mail ‘He seems to know what the Premier League is about already, I’m fine. That’s part of playing in the Premier League. You get kicks. I’ve got a dead leg but it will be gone soon.’

Many supporters were left disappointed that Wilshere didn’t show the same fantastic form he has shown in pre-season and it appeared less effective at the London Stadium on Saturday against the reigning Premier League champions.

Hopefully, we will see his form return again this weekend as the 27-year-old faces an inform Brighton who beat Watford 3-0 on their opening game. Wilshere could have an important part to play in West Ham’s season but he is going to have to stay fit and show Pellegrini why he should continue to have a starting role.
