Wilshere set for toughest medical ever

|

Jack Wilshere will face the toughest medical of his career tomorrow as he faces the final hurdle to become a West Ham player.

The doctor will leave turn no stone unturned as Wilshere undertakes a compressive medical review and MRI scans.

Should the 26-year-old pass his medical he should be announced within 24 hours possibly as early as tomorrow as the fourth signing of the Summer under Pellegrini.

The former player is expected to sign a three-year deal on £100,000 per week.

He has already spoken to Manuel Pellegrini before he left for Switzerland and is keen to get his career back on track and regain his England place in the progress. The midfielder played 38 games in all competitions for Arsenal last season after playing 29 games for the Bournemouth the season before that.

Tomorrow could be an interesting day!

Can’t believe anyone thinks there are many better English mids available. Massive upgrade on what we already have. Pelligrini isn’t a bad judge of a player but hey ho. everybody’s entitled to have their say.

I am sorry to say we are signing a player who is at best mediocre. We are a laughing stock and the owners are fools if they believe Wilshere will move us to another level. Sad days ahead for the hammers if this is what we are signing. I have also completely lost faith in pelligrini if he sees wilshere as a major signing.

On his day he’s a good, creative player. Unfortunately, he hasn’t had enough of those days in his career, which is probably why Arsenal aren’t trying particularly hard to keep him. He’s definitely not a signing to take us to the next level, which to be realistic is mid-table to top half. If the rumour is true and he passes the medical I think he’ll be a short-term replacement for Lanzini while he’s out of action, and it’s definitely a gamble. Hope it’s a worthwhile one.
