Winston Reid “diagnosis”

Winston-Reid-714445Winston Reid looks set to be fit  for the weekend fixture against Bournemouth after being disgnosed with “extreme cramp.”

The central defender left the action during the match against Chelsea last night  and looked to be in real trouble as he hobbled from the pitch.

But ClaretandHugh was told a few minutes ago that he is expected to be fit for the game against The Cherries despite the cramp being “the worst any of us can recall seeing.”

Our source said: “At one point Winston couldn’t even straighten his leg and, as we saw, had some difficulty in walking off the pitch under his own steam.”

He added that one or two of the players  took some knocks – Aaron Cresswell among them- and that no fitness decisions could be made for the Bournemouth game at this point.

He said: “The treatment room will be a busy area this morning.”
