Winston Reid’s emotional farewell

Winston Reid has delivered a heartbreaking farewell message to James Collins as the central defender’s time at the club comes to an end.

With the club allowing Ginge to walk away in June, his defensive partner down the years has really shown his emotions in an Instagram post.

He said: “Things don’t always pan out the way you want them to. It’s hard to see mates leave the club when you have spent many years sitting next to each other either in the dressing room or playing for points on Saturday.

These are the moments that sometimes you take for granted. I just wanted to say to Ginge thank you for the last 6 years playing with you!

You always had a joke to crack or you were in a bad mood and it would still be funny. You were brilliant in and around the place not only on the pitch but also off it.

I’m sure wherever you go next you will be great like u have been over these past years 👊🏾💯”
