Woeful but the points are so precious

Harry SherlockGoal.com reporter and occasional ClaretandHugh contributor Harry Sherlock gives his view on the win over Hull City

This, quite simply was a woeful game of football. These were two teams  who promised so much yet delivered so very little.

Despite the sending off of Allan McGregor, Hull were the better team during a game conducted in a rather poisonous atmosphere but at the end of it all I guess what mattered was three precious points.

However, the home fans grew increasingly frustrated with the Hammers seemingly  lacking the desire and imagination to go and win the game.

There were boos  at the end of the match, with many fans heckling both Sam Allardyce and his players.

That wasn’t too surprising and the Hammers boss will have to significantly improve this team if he is to win many of the the fans over once again.
