Wolves given Hammers injury boost

Wolves have been given a boost as they prepare for this weekend’s clash with the Hammers, per The Athletic.

Bruno Lage’s side have seen their players come through the international break unscathed and there is the potential that left-back Fernando Marcal will be back in the team.

He has been absent due to a calf problem and has missed Wolves’ encounters with Leeds, Everton, and Crystal Palace.

Marcal joined Wolves last summer and has become a key player, making a total of 21 appearances at left-back; he had started every game in the Premier League prior to his injury setback.

Lage could welcome him back this weekend, though, as the Molineux side look to take all three points from the Irons.

Wolves have been in mixed form in their last three games, losing 2-0 to Crystal Palace, beating Everton 2-1, and drawing 1-1 with Leeds.

They are currently eighth in the Premier League table, seven points behind the Hammers, who can move level on points with leaders Chelsea with a win this weekend.
