Wolves’ new striker could make debut v Hammers

Wolves have signed free agent Diego Costa and he could make his debut against the Hammers!

Bruno Lage’s side have snapped up the Spaniard after both Raul Jimenez and Sasa Kalajzdic were ruled out with injuries.

Wolves do have Hwang Hee-Chan who can play up front, but he is more known as a winger, meaning Costa is likely to be drafted into the starting XI soon.

However, he may have to wait until next month to make his debut against the Hammers.

It remains to be seen if the games this weekend will be postponed due to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, while there will also be fitness concerns over the Spain international.

Costa has a huge Premier League CV, having won the title twice with Chelsea. He has scored 52 goals in 89 games in the top-flight and has been prolific at pretty much every club he has played for, although he is now 33.
