Yarmolenko and squad ‘injury’ update

Andriy Yarmolenko looks certain to be fit for the trip to Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday despite leaving the action early against Manchester United.

He was involved in a heavy challenge against during the second half  and looked to be struggling for a while beforehand.

The Ukranian went down – and stayed down – for some time after the clash and looked to be carrying a problem before Manuel Pellegrini made the change.

He was subbed for Michail Antonio but we have learned this morning that he and the rest of the team which enjoyed a great victory should be okay for the match on the south coast.

A CandH source explained; “It looked worse than it was. Thankfully,   everybody looks fine and should make it if selected!

“There were one or two bumps and bruises but there are no major issues and thankfully Yarmolenko will almost certainly be involved along with the others.”

  1. Great news !!! I was a bit worried when he had that heavy tackle that the ref missed among the many that they did when it came to us.

  2. I hope Felipe Anderson continues at his present level against Brighton, and doesn’t have a day off against a weaker team like he has in the past. It will mean he has turned a corner, and would be a brilliant indication for the future.
