“You Can Have Him” | Man U Ready For Transfer Deal

Manchester United appears to have succeeded where West Ham failed and looks set to sign Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui after both clubs reached an agreement on a €25m transfer fee.

The Hammers failed to finalise transfer a deal for the Moroccan defender after refusing to meet the fees demanded by his agent. The Red Devils have evidently had no problems dealing with the 26-year-old’s representatives and are expected to complete a deal this week.

However, every cloud has a silver lining, and West Ham are hoping the deal will convince Man U’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka to move to the London Stadium. The former Crystal Palace right-back’s days appear to be numbered at Old Trafford, and he is now reported as being open to a move to East London, having rejected the chance last week.

Whilst the former £50m man might not have Mazraoui’s flexibility, his one on one defending will be an asset to the team which has developed something of a weak spot down out right hand side.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender 😬⚒️ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Twenty five million euros might be a reasonable price but what were the agents fees. Manchester United not having a problem with those kick backs might not be the positive this site suggests. Players with overly aggressive agents often become problems.

Wan bissaka didn’t reject West ham last week! Steinden tried to sign Mazraoui to push man united to sell wan bissaka to west ham and it’s worked at a bargain price off £10m.Now we need to tie up Duran and fofana if possible and we are cooking.COYI

This was exactly my thinking too. But I’m biased as I’ve always wanted us to sign Wan Bissaka

      • Ian says:

By the way, I’d be absolutely shocked if we got Fofana as he seems to be set to join Milan. Be a great signing though.

I would not be at all surprised if this was the case. Every impression is that we moved on Man Us target in order to force their hand.

It never seemed likely that we would spend Masraoui type money on a full back. Man U have far higher revenue than we do we do not fish in their pool.

Man U part fund Masraoui by moving Wan Bissaka on who on a short contract doesn’t cost a lot, an amount that we are likely to spend on a full back.

I thought that the spoke in the works though was that Wan Bissaka preferred to go to Milan.

Duran appears to have a very disruptive nature and could be a windup on field and dressing room.
Let him go to Saudi’s along with Kanye / Silva with extremely high wages.
Fofana is a favourite with Tim who tried to sign him last year but Moyes had his say.
If he can sway him to stay in England could be a good signing.
Johan Vasquaz, described as a defence maestro and affordable, looks good option as he plays c/bk and l/bk.

Totally agree Bonzo. I have read the Moroccan has a dreadful injury record. I also couldn’t understand how we seem to want rid of Aguerd and then try and get one of his international team mates in. If we genuinely wanted this fella then it would have worked out better continuity wise to have both. Not that Aguerd is being flooded with suitors

  • Mike J says:

Lots being said about AWB’s lack of attacking threat but we have more than enough attack minded players in other position on the pitch. He will help shore up a very leaky backline so I really hope this deal happens.

  • Jh says:

Think we get the better deal. Mazaroui injury record is poor , think that’s why BM are happy to let him leave

  • Bonzo says:

So many top players go to Man U for a fortune and then struggle perhaps under the weight of demand. Let’s hope we see the wan bissaka that was at Crystal Palace. As for Mazaroui, I think possibly a bullet dodged looking at his injury record. Was bissaka has had a fair bit of injury last season or two I think though. Maybe that’s through not playing consistently. Let’s hope we get the player out of the two that gets injured least.

  • John Harrison says:

Mazraoui prefers to play again under his old manager. Suspect TS knew this all along. More than happy if Wan Bissaka works out.
