“You Must Leave” Nuno Freezes Out Ward-Prowse – West Ham Transfers

West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has publicly told midfielder James Ward-Prowse that he is no longer wanted at the club.

In what will be viewed by many as a brutal rebuff of the player, the Hammers boss left little room for doubt that Ward-Prowse has no future at the London Stadium under his management.

The comments follow revelations from club sources to Claret & Hugh that the former Southampton midfielder recently rejected the opportunity to move to the Championship. Reading between the lines, Ward-Prowse may be biding his time, aware that Espírito Santo himself is under pressure and could yet lose his job.

Waiting Game as Pressure Builds

There is a growing sense that Ward-Prowse could be waiting to see whether a new manager arrives, particularly if West Ham suffer defeat against Tottenham Hotspur next week — a result that would likely intensify scrutiny on Espírito Santo’s position.

Speaking to reporters ahead of Sunday’s game against Queens Park Rangers, Nuno made his stance unmistakably clear.

“The situation with James has been clear for some time,” he said.
“I think he is not in the options, and it’s for us to find the best solution for his future.”

It has been a swift fall from grace of a player who was a big part of Graham Potters leadership group and now won’t be consider for first team selection.

For all the stick JWP receives, (Including on this site) he has remained a model professional. Surely, there’s another club out there who would want him in their squad?

A bad result against QPR and or Spurs Nuno will be gone, it’s possible he is only still in place because he’s agent can probably get us players that others couldn’t. We hire so unbelievably badly, this policy of only hiring managers that are out of work, look at the evidence and it doesn’t seem to be working. Nuno is another Moyes and based on evidence not as good, Potter was hopeless, Floppy hopeless, Moyes was good in spells, Pelegríni useless, Bilic was lucky he was hired while we were still at UP and the atmosphere was there and he was propped up by Payet. There should be a mechanism where fans can hold this board accountable and force them into selling the club. The Sphinx is a complete waste of time as a director as is Tripp Smith and Lady Brady the less said the better. Everything is mostly broken and it starts at the top.

No fan of JWP, but Nuno is a total waste of space and it is clear he has zero management skills to go with a lack of football management skills. A one trick pony who has been found out

  • John simmonds says:

Nuno will be gone before JWP.
