Young Hammers get back to winning ways

West Ham Under 18 Academy side made a late comeback to beat Leciester City 2-1 this afternoon at the Rush Green Stadium.

The young Hammers went 1-0 down to the Foxes just after the hour mark thanks to a goal by Leciester’s Brandon Cover.

The Irons scored two goals in quick succession within sixty seconds to take all three points winning the game 2-1

Kai Corbett netted the first goal on 83 minutes before Sonny Perkins scored another one for the Hammers just one minute later.

Perkins is the West Ham U18 top scorer this season with five goals to his name

The Young Hammers move up to tenth place on 16 points after 17 games played in the Premier League South U18 league.

Reading, Leciester City and Southampton now sit below them in the 13 team Academy league.
