David Moyes may be readying the youngsters to play a part in the match at Lincoln City this evening but despite hints that may be the case let’s take nothing for granted.

It has emerged that fine young Under 21s striker Callum Marshall has been training with the first team ahead of the game.

But in itself that may mean little as the same has been true of various others down the years with Divin Mubama another more recent example.

Many are brought into the squad on a regular or irregular basis but Marshall’s 11 goals and six assists in the last six games certainly makes him a candidate for the Carabao Cup clash.

It’s to be hoped that he gets some minutes and no doubt Mubama will also be hoping to get a call too the call and it could be a tight finish between the pair of them if that’s where the manager’s mind is focused.
