Young Irons send Beckhams home with a hiding

BeckhamDavid Beckham was a surprise visitor to Upton Park earlier today (Sunday) and may have gone away wishing he hadn’t turned up at all.

The former England skipper was at the club to watch his son  take part in a game organised between West Ham under 10s and Chelsea under 10s.

Unfortunately for him however, the Chelsea team of which his boy Cruz was a part, was thumped out of sight by a rampant bunch of  Hammers ‘stars of the future.’

In the 25 minutes each half game the Irons won 9-3 with Liam Jones – whom we featured in an exclusive ClaretandHugh story last week – grabbing a hat-trick.

Young Liam – son of former Irons striker Steve – only signed as a youth player with the Hammers last week and performed in celebratory style.
