West Ham’s under 21’s have been performing rather well this season, in case you’ve not been following Claret and Hugh’s regular updates: They are the bright spot in a desperate season. Having strung together an impressive unbeaten run, the young Hammers grabbed fourth place in the regular season standings, winning themselves a home tie against Sunderland, who finished 13th after Liverpool’s draw with Aston Villa on the final day.
The last 16 playoff place will take place on Saturday 26 April, with kick-off scheduled for 12 noon at Rush Green Stadium. Tickets are available to buy at whufc.com.
West Ham will have revenge on their mind after last season’s exit at the same stage against the same opposition: There was penalty heartbreak for the Irons after a 3-3 draw.
West Ham United U21s secured a 1-0 victory over Sunderland at home in January, a result that sparked a seven-match winning run which lifted the young Hammers from 13th to third in the standings.
Not sure yet whether it will be streamed live on the club’s you tube channel: We will of course let you know. Chances are that it will not as the Hammers, I’m sure, hope too sell you lovely supporters tickets to come and watch in person: And with tickets available from just £5 for adults and ONE POUND for under 18’s, what’s not to love?
They should put me on commission.
Can you pay on the gate?
Love a good news story. Important that we have Scarles, Potts & Earthy in the match day squad next season so the youngsters can see that you can progress within this club if you continue to develop.
