There seems to be a bit of a lot of chatter on the internet at the moment about Wilfried Zaha being eager to return to the Premier League.

He has been seen on social media arguing with Galatasaray fans . However, this could be a great opportunity for the Irons.

He could be a wonderful signing this summer, offering something none of the current forwards at the club have: versatility.

Zaha’s ability to play across the front line offers West Ham added flexibility and depth. His pace, dribbling, and goal-scoring threat would undoubtedly enhance the team’s attacking options.

Also, don’t forget that very few players from mid-table teams have Zaha’s numbers—he has scored 68 Premier League goals while playing for Palace, so he knows how to find the back of the net. Manager Julen Lopetegui would have another valuable asset to complement Niclas Füllkrug, the German striker who joined the club this summer to help lead the line.

While the club has already made significant investments in the squad, the addition of Zaha would take them to the next level. However, securing his signature will not be easy, as Crystal Palace and other potential suitors are likely to be interested in the Ivorian’s services.

If West Ham can successfully negotiate a deal for Zaha, it would send a clear message of intent and further elevate our status as a Premier League contenders.

What a stupid story. We do not need him

  • Dutch Courage says:

Too old as addition to Fullkrug and Antonio, too much bad blood and we don’t need him.

  • Ian says:

So this is not actually a link to the player, just something you would like to happen.
Thought he was on his way to Leicester or even back to Palace.
Really can’t see us being interested.

  • Andy says:

We have more attacking players than can start already. We need some gone and then strengthen the squad according to who goes.
If Zaha was coming to WHU Somerville probably wouldn’t have.

Must be a slow news day.

  • Andy Stone says:

Before the new signings came thick and fast there was an argument for signing him. Since then though there’s no argument I can see. He’ll want a more than decent contract probably with more years than is sensible. This has to be a non-starter, I hope 🤞 please no

  • Steve says:

Maybe if we got rid of Cornet, and then we have a more experienced LW to alternate with Summerville, otherwise it’s a no from me
Seems to have attitude issues, getting towards the end of his career.

  • Jimmy says:

Joke post! I think Simon is trying to win the most ridiculous post of the season!!

  • Paul says:

In my opinion, for what it’s worth. id rather see the young 20 year old from Villa join us. with a little help from Jules and his guys he could be hear for 8-9-10 years and be a fantastic player with plenty of football behind him ”COYI”

    Cheers Paul.

  • Wayward says:

No thanks. We don’t need him, there are many options in the wide areas. But also, his attitude sucks. A highly skilled player for sure, but a giant ego. I can’t stand him tbh. I’m sure he annoys the hell out of referees too. He doesn’t so much as work them over for a free kick as relentlessly go down at the merest touch, and complain at them. I dont think this helps the team. Also, who wants to see him stand like a teapot, admonishing team mates for an underhit pass, or whatever. Yuck.

  • Phil McDonald says:

We had no left winger. Now we’ve got Summerville and Guilherme, and you want another one?

  • Gary says:

I think you’ll find Bowen is very versatile and somewhat Antonio so load of rubbish being spoken ⚒⚒⚒

  • Charlie Farley says:

Five years too late…….but we have Summerville now – who I prefer.
Zaha was great for Palace and he should’ve stayed there

  • Ray says:

Well I think that is pretty unanimous don’t you Simon? It has all been said, give Zaha a wide berth and think of a more productive way of spending whatever cash is left.

  • Jeeps says:

If you want a golden oldie stick with Sergio Roberto.
Gives cover for all positions except goalkeeper.
Need some backup on left for Emerson as there’s no alternative.
Added plus is that he’s a freebie.

  • Paul Elliot says:

Yes and if my granny had wheels she would be a bike.

  • Lee says:

Waste of money under PFR regulations. Massively.
