It has just been reported that the Irons have agreed a fee (£17m) for the Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria

As CandH have reported in the past, Zakaria has been a target for a good couple of months.
Finally we have our first transfer if the reports can be believed!
Whether or not Zakaria can fill the Rice shaped hole is a matter of speculation, but we still need reinforcements in that area. But the defensive midfielder will be a welcome addition to our ranks.
With the new Premier League season only a week and a bit away, there is still a long way to go if the Hammers want a successful window.
It is unclear whether Zakaria has been recommended by Tim Steidten, or David Moyes.
Nevertheless, it is still good news so long as it actually happens,
We are a shambles in transferee , to be honest not the best player , underwhelming!
My goodness David66 who did you find out Moyes new Master Plan. Scamacca as a Centre Back and we are going for the League.
And this time next year WHU will sell him for £5m as he is disgruntled at being played in goal by David Moyes…….
He will never replace Rice, that’s why we are looking for two/three midfielders, and a playing style that doesn’t rely on one player dragging everybody else along with him
