Injury update: two-match blow for crocked Zarate

zarateMauro Zarate will miss the next two games for West Ham through injury.

The Argentine striker has tweeted the bad news – complete with a top heavy use of emotions – declaring: “Very sad by the injury and not to be available to play the next two matches !!! I now focus on a fast recovery.”

The news leaves boss Slaven Bilic with very few fstriker options given the injuries to Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia who are both sidelined.

Only Diafra Sakho is available for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth, and it may be that Elliott Lee will need to be drafted in to the side for the game against the Cherries.

Is there some kind of conspiracy going on here!!?? Has BFS been slipping used fivers to people in an effort to ensure we finish lower than we did last season so he can then say “I told you so”??? 😛

lol it does feel like that doesn’t it. There is another option instead of playing 4312 to play the christmas tree formation 4321 with Payet and Lanzini playing wider behind Sakho and Obiang, Kouyate & Noble as the three more defensive midfielders. It might also stop us being so exposed down the flanks.

  • JP2101 says:

Just as long as Maiga doesn’t come in lol

Remember a young player going to Bournemouth and scoring ten in the bounce? Well Elliott Lee is just as capable if given a chance. Sakho and Lee has plenty of goals in it as a partnership.

Elliot Lee is no Defoe.Dont be delusional Steve 😉

  • Chicken Runner says:

Rugby talks a load of nonsense. He is also on wetpants trying to compare Lee to Defoe. He is a mad man, everyone on both sites knows it,haha 😀

I like the idea of playing Lanzini and Payet behind Sakho,Lee on the bench not Magia also
Samulsun on the bench so we have options, but the ball will need to be played on the ground until set pieces because Sakho is going to be covered by 2 the whole game,
Last year we had a couple of good results with no forwards on the pitch

Lots of football club owners can probably point to £30m worth of talent they’ve bought in the last few years that don’t even make the first team. Gold is just a bit more surgical. They are trying. Look at Man Utd, struggling to secure deals.

  • Stingray Stewart says:

We need a winger or a similiar type player.Thauvin of Marseille just signed for Newcastle.Thats them up to over 45m spending this window so far while we have spent the mighty amount of 17m net.Yeah tell us all about threatening the top 6 Mr.Gold, bloody joke!

  • Ed the Hammer says:

Maiga is about as much use as Anne Franks drum kit.
