Zarate fined £80,000 for QPR outburst

zarate actionRelegated QPR have fined on loan Hammer Mauro Zarate two weeks’ wages worth £80,000 for throwing a tantrum before last week’s defeat against Liverpool.

The West Ham striker on loan to QPR allegedly stormed out after failing to make the matchday squad at Anfield and returned London on his own.

Zarate has managed just 71 minutes in a QPR first team shirt since his early January arrival on loan. He has only managed four second half substitutions for the Hoops against Burnley, Southampton, Sunderland and Hull, three of which resulted in losses.

QPR are thought to be picking up his full £40,000 per wages plus a loan fee meaning his loan stint will cost QPR just under one million pounds or around £14,000 for every minute he has spent on the pitch.

West Ham tried to bring Zarate back from his ill-fated loan at the end of January when their move for Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor fell through at the 11th hour, but were stopped by Premier League rules.

  1. Better on not being part of the OPR surrender Mario,
But throwing away 80k was not very smart, just come back home and this time don’t act like a prima donna buckle down and prove you have the talent to make it in the premier,
You need to be 100% fit form a working relationship with Valencia and Sakho.
Prove NCS and Redknapp wrong we the fans will give you the chance don’t pisx up our backs,
    NCS FOR MORROCO 2nd division

  2. A good manager will always suss out a talented player with a lack of heart and desire. Unfortunately for us, we’ve got just that on our hands with Zarate!
He’s got previous form in this department and at his age time is running out.
Verdict….Sully, you got this one wrong, out him now!

  3. The Mirror this morning named Zarate as one of the ‘bad eggs’ at QPR that Joey Barton referred too – along with Taraabt, Traore, Vargas and Isla – it sounds like Zarate is a ‘wrong ‘un’ – maybe BFS knew what he was doing getting him out of the Club!

oh, and by the way – what are we doing paying this guy £40 grand a week??

  4. Michael you would listen to Joey Barton and he is not a bad egg ?
We aren’t paying him anything instead we are paying Cole,Nolan and Nene treble that to warm there bums or play like a bum,
I would sooner make my own mind up then listen to Barton or let BFS who did not want him at the club cloud my mind,

  5. Barton responded to the Mirror story and said Zarate was not one of the bag eggs he was referring about.

  6. Lol,better go & tell your buddies on whtid then Sean, they already have the noose swinging in the breeze for him 😀

  7. Ain’t been in a while, NCS?
