Zarate’s £7,000 per minute for QPR

|

ZarateHammers loanee Mauro Zarate has managed just 71 minutes in a QPR shirt since his  early January arrival on loan.

He has only achieved just four second half substitutions for the Hoops against Burnley, Southampton, Sunderland and Hull, three of which resulted in losses for the relegation threatened club.

QPR are thought to be picking up his full £40,000 per wages plus a loan fee meaning his ten week stint so far has cost the club £500,000 which is just over £7,000 for every minute he has spent on the pitch.

Queens Park Rangers considered sending Mauro Zarate back after discovering his shocking lack of fitness. The Argentine was placed on an intensive fitness regime but has struggled to find himself in the first team.
