Zaza talks update

Simone_ZazaClaretandHugh understands that Simone Zaza has agreed to join the Irons in a loan deal which will eventually be worth £26 million.

It will become a record breaking deal and the negotiations – which started at 7.30 am this morning – have now come to a successful conclusion.

At this stage it is not clear whether Juventus have signed off on the loan come permanent deal but we are told the player has agreed to join us.

The two sides met at the London Stadium this evening and  despite negotiations breaking down on a number of occasions they were finally picked up and brought to a successful conclusion.

A late move by Naples – who had bid £30 million euros – has been seen off and a source close to the talks told us a few minutes ago that all had now been sorted with the player although there was no confirmation from Juve’s end.

Zaza – we were told – was impressed by the stadium during the prestige pre-season Juventus friendly declaring it to be a great place to play football and had made it clear to his adviors that were he to come to the Premier League, West Ham was the club he wanted.

  1. Thanks for that Hugh,it sounds hopeful. Now you can have your Horlicks 😉

  2. And delighted to hear it is a loan with option to buy.

  3. I like the look of him, he’s powerful with a good left foot and runs the channels well- he could do well for us. I wish him all the very best, him and Fletcher could have it away I reckon. COYI

  4. Cheers Hugh good stuff.I read we will be obligated to buy him at the end of the season if he meets certain criteria.I dont know how true that is.But he is probably sh#t according to you john isnt he.9 out of 10 we sign you seem to think are sh#t from what I read.

  5. Well well well,
Now we just need Juv,to announce he has left and it’s job done,
Just don’t get injured for a couple of games please

  6. He won’t get injured bubs his dad is going to play for him

  7. Has this been on whufc site yet, doubt it.
l thought the paper work was all that needed to be signed.
All the other sites said that was all that it needed.!!!!!!
    Obviously not,

  8. Well it says it isn’t clear whether Juventus have signed it off.I suppose that is the paperwork isn’t it.

  9. Still worried that he’s not completely committed to us. If he’s really that impressed and keen to join us, why are talks breaking down through the day? Sounds like a right prima Donna.

  10. I’m pleased it’s a loan deal initially…….. If he fails to deliver we won’t have to waste £26m!

  11. Why because he is negotiating the best deal for himself.Ffs we all do that don’t we when it comes to work.

  12. Sign the bloody contract so I can sleep tonight!!

  13. Negotiations probably ain’t been going on all day but it sounds good.More exciting, like a dark smoke filled room where no one moved for 12 hours lol.Payet took weeks to make up his mind he must be a prima donna on an epic scale then.

  14. Will eventually be worth 26 million ?
Do we have to buy him after the loan expires as said before or can we back him if he can’t cut it ? Any idea from sourse Hugh ?
Be nice to see the terms and figures . It would be nice to see a official announcement ?
Until then I’m not wetting me pants lol. ( smiley ) an official announcement put out already has been classed as a mistake ? Wt f ! !! Went on there ?
Over to you Hugh ? Can you clarify at all ? I mean why loan if we have to buy ??
