Zouma court date set

Kurt Zouma is set to go to court the week after the Europa League final, per The Daily Mail.

The Hammers are currently preparing for the semi-final clash with Eintracht Frankfurt next week, and beating the German side over two legs would set up a final against either Rangers or RB Leipzig.

There could be a  distraction for the game, though, as Zouma is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on May 24th after being prosecuted under the animal welfare act.

The Europa League final takes place the week before on the 18th.

The RSPCA has previously confirmed that it will seek to prosecute Zouma after he was filmed kicking and slapping his pet cat in February.

It remains to be seen if Zouma will actually be playing in the final if the Hammers reach it, as he is currently injured, after limping out of the defeat to Brentford.
