Zouma/Johnson updates

CandH Exclusive by Hughie Southon

Kurt Zouma and Ben Johnson will both be heading for scans on Monday after leaving the action against Chelsea in the 3-2 win this afternoon at the London Stadium.

ClaretandHugh learned after the game that the 21 year old looks to have a problem in the hamstring area whilst the £30 million summer signing is believed to have a problem with his knee.

The medical staff are not ready to commit to an analytical view on the two players but both left the stadium without crutches or walking aids.

We were told that both had felt a pop in the areas mentioned and will be sent for scans immediately after the weekend.

However, Aaron Cresswell is understood to be making progress from his back problem and set to be available for the match at Burnley next weekend.

Whether the problems we are suffering at central defence will cause Moyes to bring in a player in the winter window now remains to be seen.

However the club face games against Dinamo Zagreb, Burnley (a), Arsenal (a), Norwich (h), Spurs in the Carabao Cup quarter Final (a) Southampton and Watford before the window opens.
