Zouma warmed up for immense battle

Kurt Zouma¬† warmed up in style ahead of this weekend’s clash with United and should be ready to do battle with perhaps the greatest goalscorer in the history of the game.

The defender played against Dinamo Zagreb in midweek in the Europa League, as the Irons won 2-0 away from home.

We know that David Moyes is unlikely to rotate a winning team against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and the big challenge comes in facing Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portugal international is a global superstar who has been absolutely astonishing in front of goal for years.

Ronaldo scored a brace on his debut for United, against Newcastle, as the Red Devils won 4-1 at Old Trafford, and also scored in their Champions League defeat to BSC Young Boys.

Throughout his career, he has made a total of 897 appearances, scoring 677 goals and registering a total of 229 assists. He has also scored 111 goals in 180 caps for Portugal.

Zouma has never come up against Ronaldo throughout his career but he will be hoping to keep a tight leash on the former Real Madrid and Juventus ace.

The Frenchman is properly warmed up after his clash with Dinamo and one has to think that Zouma is the obvious choice to mark Ronaldo and ensure that he doesn’t have the chance to put the ball in the back of the net.

Craig Dawson really does not seem to have the required attributes to do it, so the ex-Chelsea man is the clear choice.
