Allardyce still secure

Sam Allardyce remains safe as West Ham United manager.

Despite a near non-stop assault on the manager from Twitter, and boos ringing around the Boleyn at the end of Saturday’s match, there are no immediate plans to replace the 59 year old.

Allardyce – having described the performance against Southampton as “indefensible” – will get more time to turn things around.

And the club will be pinning much on the arrival of Alex Song who the manager clearly sees as a big player in reviving the teams’ performances.

A source told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “We have heard reports that the board is considering the manager’s position but there is no truth in that.”

O Since the end of last February Allardyce has presided over 14 League games, losing 10 and winning four.

And of course the Irons were kicked out of the Capital One Cup in the second round by League One Sheffield United on penalties.
