Antonio’s celebration inspired by Homer Simpson

Michail Antonio has confirmed his bizarre goal celebration was inspired by cartoon character Homer Simpson.

“I watched The Simpsons Movie the other day and I saw Homer do it, and I thought it looked hilarious so I’ll do it if I score,” Antonio told WHUFC.com

“It was all planned, I told Nobes, I told Reece – I told all the boys and they said no way I’d do it, but I did! I think I pulled it off!”

The celebration mimics the scene created by Homer in the Simpsons episode ‘Last Exit to Springfield’, Antonio wheeled away before hitting the deck and spinning with his legs.
