Rafa Benitez still hasn’t signed a contract extension with Napoli.

He told reporters in Italy: “You all know I still have to speak to my family. I have already talked to Aurelio over the last few days. We must stay concentrated only on the games we’ve got left this season. We’ll see about my future later on.”

Napoli and Dnipro played out a 1-1 Europa league semi final draw at the Stadio San Paolo last week when a late goal gave the Ukrainians the advantage in the semi-final tie. They play the second leg of the semi final tomorrow in Kiev and need to score to make it to the Europa league final on 27th May.

Benitez has received a touchline ban for next Monday’s league match against Cesena for using an expletive to describe all of Italian football after a recent draw against Parma. A disciplinary statement published by the Lega Serie Aon Tuesday said that the Spanish coach “at the end of the match, while leaving the playing field, declared at the top of his voice ‘this is s— Italian football for you;’

Benitez has made it clear he is considering a return to the English Premier League, but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has been urging the Spaniard to sign an extension.
