Cole and Vaz Te set to move aside

Carlton Cole and Ricardo Vaz Te are set to fall  out of the frame as the Hammers new boys step forward for a “big change of direction.”

ClaretandHugh reported last night (Tues) that the club’s powers-that-be are looking for a big attacking push at Hull in our next fixture.

And with players now returning from injury quickly the two members of our old guard may not even feature on the bench.

And  – in the case of Cole anyway – that would confirm stories surrounding the Bournemouth transfer “that never was” that the manager has informed him privately of his bleak future.

Vaz Te too has failed to impress in opening games and top insiders have been frustrated that because of fitness and injury concerns the manager has still been unable to play his top X1.

That will include the likes of Enner Valencia, Alex Song, Carl Jenkinson and even Matt Jarvis who was so impressive in pre-season.

A top level source said: “With everybody fit there is little chance of Carlton or Vaz being in the team – they may not even figure on the bench.

“Of course they remain part of the first team squad but there is now intense pressure for places among the new recruits.”
