David Gold isn’t worried about the ‘Pulis effect’ which has seen West Brom go unbeaten since the Welshman took over at the Hawthorns.

Commenting on the fifth round FA Cup draw and describing the game as “winnable” DG told ClaretandHugh: “I’m aware of their record took over and he’s a good manager but we will go there with loads of confidence.

“We  are unbeaten in January and our form is good despite struggling at Bristol on Saturday. The new manager effect is nothing new. It’s sometimes a different story when he’s been there a few weeks though!

“In my view we are well capable of finishing the tie up there and if we have to do it under the Upton Park lights so be it.

“Tony and Sam are two dogged and very determined managers and it will be tight but this could very easily be our year and I go up there optimistic.”
