Double swoop hopes hint at overall window policy

West Ham could make a double swoop on Watford this summer as they aim to bring both Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaila Sarr to the club.

Both attacking players impressed throughout the campaign in a poor team, with Dennis scoring 10 goals and laying on six assists in the Premier League and Sarr scoring five and laying on two assists.

But perhaps the key fact to take away from this is that both players can play in a variety of roles.

Dennis is capable of playing on both flanks, and through the middle as a centre-forward, while Sarr can play on the right and up front.

Given that the Hammers are going to need to bring in a large number of new players this summer, this makes total sense, and it gains further weight when one considers Nayef Aguerd is the primary defensive target.

He seems likely to be coming in from French club Rennes and he can play as both a centre-back and a left-back.

Moyes could sign three players here and actually cover six positions: the right wing, the left wing, two striking roles, left-back and centre-back.

It seems as though he is looking for Swiss army knives in the transfer market and that makes all the sense in the world, given how busy the Hammers need to be.

This is the sensible, correct approach.
