Slaven Bilic endured a turbulent past Premier League campaign with West Ham United, despite having enjoyed much success the season prior.

Keen conversations are taking place on who the Hammers need this summer so may I add my two pennorth!

The London club’s move to the Olympic Stadium from their old stomping ground of Upton Park proved to be a decisive factor in such a poor term.

There are a host of names linked with the capital club and they will be seeking a big boost in personnel if they are to enjoy a more promising 2017/18 campaign in the top tier. So, read on for my five potential summer signings that could boost Bilic at West Ham next term.

Jack Wilshere

The Gunners midfielder has become out of favour at the Emirates under Arsene Wenger and was sent out on loan to Bournemouth last season. Various bookmakers have Wilshere at odds of 8/1 to joining the Hammers this transfer window, which punters may look to maximise by taking advantage of bonuses on the Bookies Offers, such as a £200 welcome offer.

Wilshere was previously seen as one of the most promising talents in English football, but many injury setbacks have derailed his career. A move to West Ham could present a great opportunity to rebuild and boost his chances of making it to the 2018 World Cup with England.

Max Kruse

After last season, it’s clear that the Hammers are in need of a boost in firepower up front. Germany international frontman Kruse fits the bill perfectly and could become a fan favourite at the Olympic Stadium.

The Londoners are believed to be readying a bid for the Werder Bremen forward, who struck 15 times in the Bundesliga last term. His strength and attacking prowess could see him relish playing in the Premier League.

Jurgen Damm

Pace is also required for Bilic in order to rebuild for next season and Mexican winger Damm would provide plenty of that if captured. The Tigres wide man would solve the fundamental problem of having a lack of speed within the set-up for sure.

He has showcased his wing talents in recent seasons and a move to England’s top-flight could bolster West Ham massively.

Daniel Sturridge

Liverpool looked like being Sturridge’s long-term club after moving around so much in his career to date. But things have hit a stumbling block and Jurgen Klopp looks set to offload the injury-prone striker this summer.

Bilic would be wise to make a swoop for the England international poacher, who still is extremely clinical when fully fit. His goals and attacking instincts would provide the Hammers with a great boost for next term.

Chris Smalling

West Ham recently snapped up Manchester City stalwart Pablo Zabaleta for free this summer. But they require a further boost at the back and Man United defender Chris Smalling could be a reasonable signing.

The United defender has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and although ClaretandHugh has firmly ruled that deal out you never say never.
