Hammers income hits £110m

The Hammers will receive a merit payment of £8.2m for finishing 13th in the Premier League this season under the terms of the new mega TV deal.

Wet will also receive £7,5m in facility fees for having  games shown on domestic TV, £32m as an equal share of the overseas broadcast rights and £23m for an equal share of the domestic TV rights shared by Sky and BT Sports.

This totals a massive £70.7m in TV income up from £51.8m last season for finishing 10th. At £1.2m per place we lost out another £3.6m from not matching out previous position last season.

When this £70.7m TV income is added to the estimated £18m in ticket sales, £14m in commercial activities and £7m in retail sales it means we should receive around £110m in income this season up from just under £90m last season.

Although West Ham’s financial year finishes on the 31st May we won’t get to see the actual accounts until January next year.

It will be interesting what we do with extra £20m of income over the summer transfer window and the coming season.
