Reports that West Ham are back in for Martin Olsson appear to confirm the hoped for “deal” to bring Timothee Kolodzieczak to the club is on its last legs.

Sam Allardyce has long fancied Olssen and according to  new reports the Hammers have bid for the Norwich left back and been turned down.

ClaretandHugh revealed this morning that whilst still hoping a deal can be done for the Nice left back, the Irons are  pursuing other targets and Olsson has been aSam Allardyce target for a long time.

We understand that a bid of around £4 million was made for the left back and was rejected quickly by the Canaries.

Given that the Hammers are also keen, and have had a bid for Dundee’s Andy Robertson rejected whilst eyeing Ipswich Town’s Aaron Cresswell, the deal for Kolodzieczak looks to be receding quickly.

A Hammers source told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “We have optional targets at left back but nothing is ever certain in football. A deal isn’t dead until it’s dead and there remains a little chance on Kolo. However, it’s true the club is proceeding on other targets.”
