Hammers top FA Cup record against Toffees

So we’re off to Everton in the Third Round of the FA Cup which at first glance isn’t the best draw in the world!

However, look a little bit deeper and you discover that The Toffees have failed to beat us in the competition since 1957.

The two sides last met in 1991 at the Boleyn when we won 2-1 and in 1980 at Goodison we came out 2-1 winners of a replay after drawing with The Toffeess 1-1 four days earlier.

In 1963 we scored a 1-0 win over them having suffered our last loss against them  57 years ago at Goodison 2-1.

Quite apart from that there are quite a few scores left up at Goodison to be sorted after the bad tempered League clash and James Tomkins in particular may feel he has a point to prove.

Holders Arsenal will host Hull City in a repeat of May’s Wembley final.

Their meeting is one of four all Premier League ties as Burnley host Tottenham, we are off to Goodison and Newcastle United visit Leicester City.
