Irons board set for a ‘look’ after six games

Sam Allardyce’s seasonal start is set for a six game review following the match against Manchester United.

It has been widely reported that the manager’s “crunch period” is over the early games and ClaretandHugh understands that remains the case.

So far, the Irons have managed an away win at Crystal Palace and of course the attacking draw at Hull City.

Now comes what could be an acid test against Liverpool on Saturday and Manchester United at Old Trafford.

We learned today that the club will study results and performance levels over the six games.

A source close to the club told Claretandhugh that many of the staff inside the club were aware of the situation.

And he said: “There’s no question that rightly or wrongly the manager appears to have  been put under pressure since early summer.

“There is little doubt in most people’s mind that a ‘discussion’ will be held after Old Trafford.”
